Find Your Voice...There is a little voice in your head telling you to stop eating at some point during a large meal, but it is hard to hear it over the sound of your own chewing. We frequently keep eating due to distraction, not wanting leftovers, because the food smells or tastes good, etc. But stop and listen for that little voice that is saying, "My dear friend, it is I, your stomach, and I am just fine. I don't need any more food right now so just lay down that fork and let's just call it a day." Continuing to eat seems so easy if your only alert to stop is an empty plate. But take that moment during a meal or when snacking to stop and wait. In the silence you will inevitably hear that little voice saying, "Thank you...you won't regret this."
