Make Your "Bad" Food Better...Look for ways to improve the food you eat every day by decreasing the calories, fat and sodium and increasing the nutritional content. Try hard boiling eggs and using the egg whites as a spread to replace mayonnaise on sandwiches or mixing it in with canned tuna. Try adding a scoop of protein powder to your oatmeal to get additional protein in with your morning carbohydrates. Try replacing regular breadcrumbs with Panko breadcrumbs to decrease the sodium content of your meals. Try switching to greek yogurt from regular yogurt to get more protein and less carbohydrates for the same food. These are just a few ideas to think about, but look for others to apply to your current diet. Remember that what you eat is an incredibly powerful tool to control how you look and feel and to have an impact on your overall health. Don't underestimate the importance of what you put on your fork.
