Except for those with certain heart conditions, we should all be drinking 6 - 8 eight oz glasses of water every day. Remember that any non-alcoholic beverages count, even those with caffeine, but try to limit those to 1 - 2 of the daily 6 - 8. You could actually be mildly dehydrated and not even be thirsty, so thirst is a poor guide. A better check is to see if your urine is clear to light yellow for a better hydrated state, as opposed to a darker yellow, which is usually a good clue to increase the fluids. Try squeezing a citrus fruit into your water to give it some flavor if plain water is just not your thing.
